In the fall of 2008 Sheridan Construction completed construction of the new $22-million-dollar Somerset County Jail in Madison, Maine.
Sheridan Construction, in concert with many local subcontractors, worked on an accelerated 16-month completion schedule. This 92,776 sf correctional facility was designed by SMRT Architects, Portland, Maine.
The Somerset County Commissioners wanted to let you know how very pleased we have been with the start and continuing success of the new Somerset County Jail. Your timely communications and dealing with problems as they arise have been exceptional. Your ability to work with the many subcontractors, the various disciplines as well as the ability to keep on schedule, is at best mystifying to all of us.
Philip Roy Jr., Chairman, Somerset County Commissioners, Skowhegan, ME
