Maine Air National Guard’s new maintenance Hangar, located in Bangor received a LEED rating of Silver, becoming the first Air National Guard facility to receive a Silver rating. Designed to house the KC-135 refueling aircraft, this new hangar features a 200-foot clear-span structure with sliding aircraft doors. This hangar has approximately 23,500 square feet of hangar space.
This project features a Butler pre-engineered building, which was designed by Butler’s Heavy Structure division.
