Sheridan Construction is excited to announce that we have recently been named one of the 2023 best places to work in Maine.
Best places to work in Maine identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in Maine in three categories: small companies (15-49 U.S. employees, medium companies (50-249 U.S. employees), and large companies (250 or more U.S. employees). To be considered companies must have at least 15 full-time employees working in Maine; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of Maine; and be in business a minimum of one year.
“I am so proud to be recognized as one of the Best Places to work in Maine. For 75 years Sheridan has been blessed with the best commercial building construction professionals in New England,” said Dan Wildes, President. “My mission is to listen to the needs and goals of our employees. Without our dedicated employees, we would be just another contractor. In a time of labor and skill shortages, we recognize and appreciate the efforts of everybody working at Sheridan. I am so grateful for each and everyone at Sheridan and honored to reach this significant achievement.”
“From my perspective as a Sheridan Construction team member, it’s no surprise that we’ve secured our spot as one of the best places to work in Maine. What sets us apart is the way each department actively cultivates a friendly and collaborative environment. This recognition is a reflection of the supportive culture that Sheridan Construction prioritizes” said Dylan Hapworth, Workforce Development Coordinator. “What’s truly exciting is that while we excel in creating a great workplace, we also get to contribute to building high-profile commercial buildings that shape the landscape of our region. Being a part of projects that leave a lasting impact is an additional source of pride for all of us at Sheridan.
Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
